DANCE THE DREAM

On August 28, 2013, a series of flash mob dances will take place in public squares of cities, towns, and small villages around the world. Each event is to be spearheaded by a local choreographer working in collaboration with our Creative Director, Jeffrey Page.

Each locality will perform two dances: one to a music selection used by all of the choreographers and another to music that is exclusive for the venue, reflecting its distinctive culture and civil rights legacy.

The dance events are to be streamed on YouTube as well as broadcast on digital billboards in select public squares on the anniversary. A compilation video featuring highlights of the dances will be released on YouTube, with a feature documentary to follow.

DANCE THE DREAM is about creating a shared life-affirming experience that galvanizes global solidarity for overcoming division and solving problems. It is about people from every corner of the planet all coming together in Dr. King's "symphony of brotherhood," and it is about inaugurating a new era of progress and possibility.
